I don’t see how the 31,000 Private Sector jobs could be taxed enough to cover the cost of another 260,000 entry level bureaucrats.

It looks like another 2 or 3 Billion in deficit spending to me.

How is 291,000 new jobs a good thing, since only 31K are in the private sector and 260K are Government workers?

You’re obviously a "glass half-empty" kind of guy.

But it spins so nicely to say "WE" created 291,000 jobs.

66K jobs were Census jobs. The rest were private sector jobs.

Ah, but the simpleton left wing never stops to think.
They foolishly believe any number Obama and company puts out, loosely confirm it with left wing media and call it good. No matter that the country is 17% real unemployment and the government has been expanding so rapidly and is still only 3%.
You would think people wouldbe smarter than to watch things fall apart around them and still have this blind faith in government which has been shown throughout history to be the downfall of many nations. The only thing that made America different was the supposed "checks and balances" system which no longer exists with an all left wing owned government. Obama and company are just fine with pushing thier leftist agenda while the citizens suffer through recession and high unemployment. We haven’t heard any words of compassion from Obama, all we heard is lip service on jobs while he pushed his Healthcare plan, and then told us to get use to double digit unemployment.
But what is 291k jobs in the face of over 8 million lost ? And what of the lie about "green jobs" ? And all this info came from people who’s wives were census workers or they tried a mini version in California government, or using the statistics from Spain regarding "green jobs".
At the end of the day, its all smoke and mirrors. I’ve seen census workers trained for 3 to 4 days, did minor work, then take a seat and wait long periods for more work while they were still training more people. And you think that this doesn’t skew the numbers of unemployment ? The trained people can’t go back on unemployment because they got paid while being trained, but as soon as they where off the government dole, the training continued to get more off the unemployment list. Sure, nearly every president has played games with the numbers but I thought Obama was the person that was going to change all that, He was the one that was going to give us hope….not lie and play the games that every other one has.
Now if you don’t want to face up to the truth about what’s going on out there, fine, go put your head in the sand, but it is the truth…like it or not.

Well that is an outright lie….stop listening to rush…

"The government says the hiring of 66,000 temporary government workers to conduct the census helped overall payroll growth last month. However, private employers added a surprisingly strong 231,000 positions last month, also the most since March 2006."

Here’s the actual report

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/empsit.pdf

So there were 231K jobs in the PRIVATE sector and 66K government jobs.

I know it’s the conservative way to twist facts and say anything because some will believe it. but you can’t lie your way around the actual facts.

Actually you did not copy Rush…he lied and said only 66K were private jobs…your figures actually lie even more than his.

"Limbaugh: AP says "real number" of private-sector jobs created in April "is 66,000." On his May 7 program, Limbaugh claimed: "How do we know more people are looking for work? In the AP story, ‘jobs up 290,000.’ In the private sector, the real number is 66,000, not 290. Jobs up 290,000, jobless rate rises to 9.9 percent. State-controlled AP tries really hard to start off here with great news.""

"Excluding temporary Census workers, nonfarm jobs rose a seasonally adjusted 224,000, the Labor Department said Friday. Nearly all of the job growth, minus Census workers, took place in the private sector. Government employment was basically flat. In addition, payroll data for the prior two months was revised to show that 121,000 additional jobs were created than initially reported. The Labor Department said 230,000 jobs were created in March, instead of the original figure of 162,000, and February was revised from a loss of 14,000 to a gain of 39,000."
