Work From Home As A Second Job

Charly A | 30.04.2010 at 7:15 pm

Any ideas about work that I could do from home after having my second child?
I have an English degree although I have worked in hospitality for 6 years to make ends meet. I want to work from home after having my second child, for at least a few years if not indefinitely. Does anyone have any ideas?

you can do all sorts of i.t jobs from home but please please dont look for home jobs over the internet most are cons and ask you to send money for your work equipment before you start. 1 of my family members started her own nursery in her home, you need to be inspected and have a licence to do this though.

How’s your typing? You could do administrative work. Type books, manuscripts, business forms etc. You could write short stories and sell to magazines and newspapers.

You could start a secretarial service - you could provide editing services. There are lots of things you can do at home.

Could you tutor english students?

Avon. I love Avon and it is a great way to make some extra cash. A lady at my church sells it and loves it. A family friend sells it, and within less than a month she had enough money to buy a Nintendo Wii. Just get the number from an Avon commercial on tv. You’ll make great money fast.

Hiya,

I found this site a few months ago, and ok, it won’t make you a million, but its worth a few quid every couple of months. I know this probably isn’t exactly what you are looking for , but its a start. (i made £80 in four months!)

Hope this helps, Vik

As you’ve worked in hospitality, have you thought about starting your own PR business or event planning?

Approach your local careers advice service or small business advisor and do some research, they’re always an invaluable help.

Another option could be to start your own childminding business if you have little ones of your own.

Good Luck x
