I’m 16 years old and I just completed an online application for Toys R Us. Have any of you ever applied for a job online and actually got hired?

well they will still call you in for a interview
of course these are retail stores,
now there are a lot scammmers that will say you are hired but then ask you for money for
something
or maybe your bank account number so they could "direct depoist; your ”Paycheck"
but all they will do is to take money FRIOM your accountr

How effective is applying for a job online?

The only time I’ve ever had a response from jobs were applying in person. Just had an interview today - I applied in person. Go there and ask who you should talk to about employment.

I’m not familiar with Toys R Us policies, but many companies require you apply online. They have a Human Resource department review the applications. You can also stop in to the store. See if you can talk briefly to the manager and let them know you just applied for a job. Be sure that you dress conservatively/neatly when you do go in to the store. Bring with you a typed list of personal references, any letters of recommendation, awards, etc. that you might have. In the event that you are able to talk to the manager and they seem interested leave your references with them. Best wishes to you. http://howtoworkfromhome-demi.blogspot.com

I’m not a teenager, but I applied for a job through monster.com and got hired. I think it depends on the company and the website you’re looking at. Even if you apply online, it’s still a good idea to go in and give the manager a face to put with your name when your application comes through. Good luck!
