It was a team effort made up of many nationalities. Are you forgetting the French resistance for example? The US has its own merits, but you are not the hero you think you are. It’s time for another history lesson. The French (and sadly the British in this situation) failed to stand up to Nazi Germany even in 1938 before the war. Hitler wanted to invade Czechoslovakia, in order to avoid war the French PM Édouard Daladier informed the Czech’s that they would stand alone if they didn’t cede territory to Germany. It’s called appeasement, the French are great at it. The U.S. had to save their butt twice inside of 50 years. Their wines and cuisine are great though.

Apparently it’s time for a history lesson. The U.S. didnt enter the war until Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Then despite repeated attempts to induce surrender (which Japan refused preferring in most cases to fight to the last man) America had to make a decision of a costly invasion (project losses in the hundreds of thousands for both sides) vs. using those weapons. I don’t condone the use of atomic weapons but Japan wanted a war and they got it.
