I use to collect data from others by calling them by phone and typing what they have said into a computer. I can not remember what that particular position is called though. However this my example of office like jobs. Does any one have a few ideas to what positions can be held? Thanks!
The type of job you are talking about is now called Telesales Executive or Business Development Manager - i done that till recently and currently looking for the same type of job but here in the UK for each job available there is over 300 people applying for them and they are usually given to the person with the highest university degrees that will work for the least amount of money. the other types of jobs like these are called telesales, customer service advisers.
(currently in high school, but eager to do whatever it takes]
I really want an office job, but I don’t know exactly what position or what it is called. I like to be someone who makes lots of money (who doesn’t? LOL] and I’m really fast with typing. And is familiar with computers.
That isn’t really enough for lots of money. That kinda takes school, practice, knowledge, years of hard work, and a bit extra. There are multiple office clerical careers on http://www.officeclericaljobs.com/ so you can check them out and see if something fits you. Also, you can see how well they pay for that kind of job, and what are the prerequisites.
I’m looking for an office job in the 2nd shift schedule, what would my options be?
There are not too many unless it is with a company that has second shift operations such as manufacturing, research, and medical. Hospitals do have some too. Sorry but a lot depends on your area and the types of companies in the area. You will need to find out who has second shift operations then go from there. I hope this helps and wish you all the best. Good luck
High school diploma no college. Jobs like secretaries. What are other office jobs? List them please.
There are mail clerks (who process mail coming in and going out of the office), receptionists (answer ringing telephones and transfer the calls to the correct people), greeters (greet customers as they come in), customer service clerks (deal with customer and any problems they may have), tech support or help desk clerk (assist with computer related issues in the office), sales clerk (sell a company’s product to outside or inside customers), purchasing clerk (makes sure the company has all the suppies it needs to function and if not buys them and pays the vendors), account payable and recieveable cerk (accounting based job where you pay the companies bills and/or deposit the money received by the company), secretaries (do typing, letters, etc for a boss), administrative assistant (usually are secretaries with more experience that work for more important people, like the VP of a company..these folks require more instensive services like travel arrangements, power point presentations, etc), cleaning crew (clean the office when the staff goes home at night), insurance agent (usually verify medical insurance in doctors/dentists offices), filing clerk (file things in filing cabinents or other filing methods), shredders (shred valuable documents), bank tellers (responsible for interacting with customers and dispensing money at a counter in a bank), copy clerks (run the copy machines)…
I’ve listed quite a few…does that help at all?
Just wondering how common jobs in an office (not retail or restaurant) are which have a full-time schedule in which you would have one day off from M-F and work either Saturday or Sunday. I’d really like to have this schedule. Do you think that clerical jobs would be more likely to have this schedule?
For office jobs, would be unusual - most are M-F and are closed Saturday and Sunday.
I used to work HS-level jobs (grocery packing, cashier, etc) and found that the work is generally fast paced and they frown upon laziness. This is my first office job and it’s really slow here. There’s nothing to do. I spend all day doing nothing but surfing the web and reading books. Are office jobs normally like this or is it just the government?
I had a job like that.
I started buying books like word for dummies and excell for dummies and I learned, learned, learned.
The management will probably notice that you are trying to improve yourself and promote you.

Are there any office position jobs that start after 11am? Or are most office jobs starting in the morning hours?
Thanks!
Very few positions start at 11:00 AM unless it is in manufacturing, call centers, or a company that works through multiple time zones, etc. If you are limited to this you may also want to look for part-time or job sharing positions. I hope this helps and wish you the best in finding what you are looking for. Good luck
i want to work in the army career but i do not want to be a solder. my brother is a lance corporal or whatever its called..but i would like a office job of some sort or something where you have to be fit but not as fit as a solder etc? please give me advice and help! also im a 15 year old girl. thanks.
I’m betting any that do not require you to move or operate any such office equipment with your penis.
So, unless they have really weird touch tone phones, you should be OK.
