If you know any sites that have job applications and searched for available jobs, can you post a link to it?

careerbuilder.com is extremely up to date and reliable. They have tons of them on there
monster.com
snagajob.com-not always reliable though
siplyhired.com

One tip I have is to apply to a specific company’s website online. There are usually online application under the career or employment section

Job sites in my area have been low on job option listings. What other resources can I tap into? Thanks.

Actually, the best place to find jobs online is NOT on the online job sites. It’s by looking at the job sites for actual companies. Most companies of any size nowadays have a web site and if they have a web site they will almost always post their job openings on it. Why? Because it doesn’t cost them anything and they can post the job openings immediately because it’s their own web site. What you should do is make a list of, say, the 25 or 50 companies that might have openings suitable to you. Then, go to each of their web sites and click on the link for "Jobs", "Employment", or something similar. This will be the most up to date listing of their openings. This is far more productive than searching online job sites, because companies have to pay to be listed on them. Consequently, not all openings will be there. But they WILL all be of the company web sites. Check the sites twice a week, because most companies post jobs twice a week on their web site. I would check on Mondays and Thursdays, every week.

In addition to online job sites, be sure to check out the Sunday Classifieds. This is actually where I found my last job advertised and it was an upper management job. So be sure to check every Sunday.

Also, keep on eye out for any job fairs that may be in your area, as these are excellent for talking to several employers at once.

Additionally, consider taking jobs at a temporary employment agency. This can be great way to get your foot in the door at a company. I can’t tell you how many temporary workers I’ve hired over the years because of the good job they did.

Finally, consider joining some professional organizations or networking groups. The point is to get your name in front of as many people as possible.

Good luck in your job search.

I am trying to switch my job. I have registered my profile with Naukri and Monster. But the response has not been encouraging.Meanwhile I got a call from one of the sites asking me to opt for their paid services. They say they can help me in resume writing as well as flash my CV across top recruiters. I am confused whether this is sensible. Can you guys advise me on this?

Never pay any agency up front for work.

There are a lot of fraudsters on recruitment websites who will get hold of your details and try to con you out of money. Don’t fall for it.
And there are legitimate companies who will also call you to do your resume….but you don’t need any of it. There are plenty of free resources around.

Go to http://www.about.com/careers/ and you’ll find plenty of good advice. All free.

Also, go to your local Government jobs office. They will assist you in your career transition.

Remember that "NETWORKING" helps too. Attending industry events so you can meet people who are already in the job you want.

And finally set up a profile on http://www.linkedin.com/
"LinkedIn" is sort of like facebook but for career professionals.

Online job hunting and career hunting websites have been increasing over the years. Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com are two websites that are very popular even today. One nice thing about these websites is that you can look through a huge number of jobs ranging from hundred to over thousand and also look for them near your locality.

Many of these job hunting and career hunting sites will let you look for jobs around the place you live. This can easily be done with a little help form your side. Your zip code and how much distance you are willing to travel is all you will need to enter. You can also change settings in such a way that you can choose what kind of a job you want to take up and also jobs that are related to a certain industry. You can also look through these websites without having to create an account most of the times. However, if you want to apply for any sort of job you will need to register here. Many of the job hunting and career hunting websites are free to use most of the times.

When you do apply for a job online through these websites, the process of the application will depend on the questions of the site. A small from will need to be filled sometimes. A little information from you and also job experiences will be asked. A resume will also need to be attached. Many of the sites do however let you create your resumes then and there on the site itself. It is very necessary that you attach a resume as it will give more job opportunities to you.

Many of the sites let your resume be looked upon by employers who are looking for people. This also helps you in an extra way as you will not need to run around and search as the site itself helps you get a job. All you need to do is simply upload your resume. Most of these websites will make your resume be seen only by employers and hence you may get more job offers. You do not need to worry as they will not go into the wrong hands.

With hardly any work on you, you can be sure to get a job by simply uploading your website and making it available to the employers. The employers also do find this method convenient as they do not have to go through the trouble of searching the one million resumes that are posted. You never do know who is going to give you a job and what sort of a job you will be getting at the end of the day.

Most of these job hunting and career hunting websites do allow you to make use of their services with no charge form their side. You can also upload your resume by paying nothing. You may therefore do this as you have nothing to lose but a lot to gain at the same time.

I am trying to fine a reliable online data entry job site with out making any investment. It can be in the form of form filling, simple date entry ect. Please let me know if you know such a website.

Thanks in advance

Search the engines for "affiliate work", "ghost writer", professional blogger" then read a lot and learn. Anything not on that line is likely to be a scam.
