My employer only takes apps online. So if they do not care, in person is far better, and you can give them a good impression. You will look like an idiot if they state online only though.

I applied for a job online at the Home Depot here near where I live in California. The people who called me back and left a message about my application were calling from Georgia. I haven’t called back yet. I’m just confused about how that works.

I understand that the Home Depot started out in Georgia. Is that the headquarters then? Do they really handle all the applications, even those from stores 2,000 miles away?
