I’m a senior in college looking for an entry-level job in Commericial Real Estate. I have been going to local REIT sites and property management companies around here but i cant find anything entry-level. Any suggestions?
kempark….thank you. Are you saying most entry-level jobs in commerical RE is sales??

I am a student majoring in finance. I would like a job in commercial RE finance. However, I am a well-rounded person and would not like to just limit my options to finance.

first; skip this term. While a beginning job often is called an entry one, in real estate in SALES,
that term is not commonly used. 99% of those in sales are on 100 % commission though not
all positions in commercial real estate are in sales; some are in appraisal, in management,
some are in analysis for value, and more–such as building/constructing. Those positions are not in sales and do accept entry level people–as long as a fiduciary role does not enter. So, I can guide
you if you explain more WHAT YOU WANT TO DO in commercial real estate.

lots of entry level jobs don’t list their starting salaries. some ask me for my salary expectation, and i don’t know what a good answer is. how do you find out the starting salaries of these jobs, and how do you choose your salary expectation when you don’t know what’s appropriate.

Hi,

you have 3,000,0000 of real life salaries registered anonymously by employees here:

hi im currently doing a degree in property development and town planning although in only in my 1st year i am interested in trying to get a job in the property industry now during the holidays to gain experience. could anyone suggest to me what entry level jobs i should be aiming at and any websites that i could search for vacancies. i live in birmingham/uk.

I would first check out your school’s website and alumni website to see if there are job postings related to the property sector. That’s what I did to find my job in the same field (I majored in urban planning and geography). If nothing is there, or there is but you don’t qualify, check out city websites or actually email/mail/call companies who do property development to see if there are any openings or chances of entry level positions. Even asking for internships/volunteering, etc. may benefit you. If that still doesn’t work or you can’t find any, you can use large research databases but it will be tough getting a response from there. Then, if all else fails, you can go to a job placement agency but they may want experienced professionals (sucks for us…).

I would like to learn the ropes of special event planning but I want to get paid. what are some entry level jobs that would be good for a career in event planning?

I would recommend working at a party supply store, hotel (many hotels rent banquet rooms for meeting, parties, etc.), if you have a convention center nearby or a place where they host events such as boat shows or rv shows, etc.. Or look in your local directory to see if there is an event planner or wedding planner in your area, Maybe they need help with upcoming weddings (June is a popular month for weddings). Other than that, any job where you work with the public will give you customer service experience.

Another good source for unpaid (but valuable) experience is to volunteer with your local organizations. Your local chamber of commerce will be hosting many events in the upcoming months. As will the Rotary, Kiwanis, schools, churches. Now is the time for local homecoming celebrations, Forth of July, church picnics. All of these community events are great event planning experiences. Do a little digging to see who is sponsoring them and volunteer to help the organizer.

Good luck.

I want to become a financial analyst, so what kind of entry level job should I pursue for a future job as a financial analyst?

I was doing hard work of finding home based/ online jobs. Luckily I found this website:
http://workathome-opportunities.net They gave me list of top companies. I clicked and find many jobs. Did one job and received my pay yesterday. Best place for home based jobs.
