My cousin did accountancy and he has a really good job. I’m thinking of going to the same uni he did which is where I’m at now doing chemical engineering. I don’t like chemical engineering. I hate it.
Should I do accountancy? I was just looking at the past papers on the website and its begun to interest me.
My cousin did it and I’ve just looked at the past papers and its seems really interesting.
Take an accounting class and see how you like it.
well you cant apply for a post of a cop or a doctor over there…you re a chartered accountant here and you ll be the same there..dumbo
if i go to uni and do an undergraduate course and pass in accountancy, what is the best job i can get.
With only an undergrad degree, given the huge numbers of MBAs and CPAs who are looking for work, your chances of any job are not all that great. As for "high pay," dream on. Plan on going for MBA + CPA. A bachelor’s won’t get you all that far.
with subjects INFORMATICS PRACTICES,ACCOUNTANCY,ECONOMICS(INCLUDING STATISTICS),BUSINESS STUDIES & ENGLISH. Do you think i made the right choice choosing commerce over science? I have no regrets but my friends say that it’s tough to get good high-paid jobs with these subjects since i’ve not taken maths. Is it true?? IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE FINANCIAL ADVISING??
buddy… you made one of the right choices…. there is no dearth of jobs in finance…but you have to work hard…you can go for MBA(Finance) in future… or CA etc. this is as good as science subjects sometimes better also… you have one year left for do hard work…. very very hard work… focus… work…. and success will follow you… i bet
take care
Hi everybody,
i have been in london two weeks and cause of my lack of relevant experience i haven’t found any job related to my degree, which is an accountancy. Since i am too old to be traineed for a position i thought of doing it for free in some charity trust or similar organization, but i discovered that here in england charity trust pay you for that kind of position.
I need to know some charity trust or similar organization that are willing to offer me a entry level position even for free in the accountancy field..i think it is a good way to start my career and i don’t care if i have to work gratis for a while.
staying here in london without working is very depressing and frustrating, thus i really hope in some usefull answer.
thank you very much.
ps
i don’t care if i have to move in another city of england, what really matter to me is to find an entry level position in accountancy!
These jobs are advertised in the Guardian on Wednesdays, or online.

Taking up cost accountancy and not MBA after graduation will it be a wise choice? How good are the career prospects in cost accountancy are there any job anyway?
Both are good choices. However I want to suggest you to go to CA.

before looking for a room and then decide in what area of london i should live i need to know which zone of london offers more chance to get that kind of job. apart zone 1 of course!
thank you!

What are the areas in which i will get a job if i do cost accountancy? Is it a better choice than MBA?Can i get the position of Finance Manager?
Its unlikely that an employer would think completing a cost accounting course would qualify you to become a finance manager.
When i leave school, I f all goes right, I should have an Alevel in maths, IT and Biology. I was thinking of going on to study accountancy but what other jobs are available with these sort of results? Would an IT job need any others?
You’ve got good range of A-Levels which is good and you can do many things. With maths and biology you could go down a route in biology such as research. You could basically go into anything from teaching to nursing.
A job in IT would not need any others and to be honest having IT is a huge advantage ans they are both very logical subjects. IT jobs are well paid and in demand but be careful as they are meant to be very stressful.
Whatever you choose good luck

i know this is in the wrong section but if i put it in the right one no one would answer
you could get a job as an accountant for a large brewery, winery, or distillery, and make a load of money.
